Dr. Jack P. Gunter has recently returned from Denver, where he was invited to present and participate in the 2011 annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons (ASMS). Our rhinoplasty surgeon in Dallas led a presentation in front of plastic and reconstructive surgeons from all over the world, illuminating his expertise on “Solutions to Complex Problems in Secondary Rhinoplasty.” He also participated in a panel discussion on “Rhinoplasty Techniques that have Stood the Test of Time.” Dr. Gunter says it’s always a pleasure to be able to meet and speak with some of the top plastic surgeons from around the world to talk about the latest advances in rhinoplasty and discuss effective techniques.

The ASPS is composed of board-certified plastic surgeons who perform reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. The organization is restricted to only those surgeons who have passed rigorous requirements and encourages high standards of professionalism, ethics, training, practice, and research.

The ASMS is the oldest society in America representing maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeons specializing in the reconstruction and enhancement of bone and soft tissues of the face. More than 500 surgeons are part of the organization, which requires members to have very high ethical and professional standards.

The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) annual conference, being held in Boston from May 6-11, 2011, welcomed Dr. Jack Gunter to speak about some of the latest topics concerning rhinoplasty surgery. Known as one of the foremost experts on nasal surgery, Dr. Gunter participated in a number of panel discussions as joint sessions between members of the Rhinoplasty Society and plastic surgeons attending the ASAPS annual meeting. The Rhinoplasty Society, co-founded by Dr. Gunter in 1996, is an organization devoted to furthering education and the exchange of ideas between rhinoplasty surgeons around the world. The society held its annual meeting at the same time as the ASAPS symposium, with plastic surgeons from across the globe attending both events, Dr. Gunter was able to offer his expertise to medical professionals who focus on a range of rhinoplasty and aesthetic surgery procedures. He attended joint panels discussing Asian Rhinoplasty and the role of PDS plate in Rhinoplasty, as well as an ASAPS panel on primary rhinoplasty. Dr. Gunter also led an instructional course on “Improving Results in Rhinoplasty.”

The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is one of the largest medical organizations in the world and is composed of an estimated 2,400 board-certified plastic surgeons. ASAPS is focused on cosmetic surgery education, research, and innovation, and requires member doctors to adhere to strict ethical codes and continuously pursue education in the medical field.

Dr. Jack Gunter, a Dallas plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty, will be speaking at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) on October 3, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario. In conjunction with the Canadian Society of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgeons (CSACPS), the ASPS expects more than 5,000 plastic surgeons and medical professionals to join them at the premier educational event, which features new developments and trends in plastic surgery.

Dr. Gunter will be discussing rhinoplasty, focusing specifically on the topics of the septum, valves, and turbinates concerning their functional considerations in the nose. At the world’s largest international meeting of plastic surgeons, Dr. Gunter is looking forward to providing his expertise to support the ASPS event and his renowned Gunter Center for Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery in Dallas.

D Magazine released their 2009 issue of “Best Doctors in Dallas” and named Dr. Jack Gunter and Dr. Spencer Cochran as two of the “Best Doctors in Dallas” for the category Cosmetic/Reconstructive Surgery. Both Dr. Gunter and Dr. Cochran are internationally-known for their rhinoplasty (nose job) results. They are two of only a handful of surgeons in the United States who focus exclusively on rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and rhinoplasty related procedures — such as chin implants.
