Patient Details

Surgeon: Dr. Jack P. Gunter

History: This patient gave a history of having had a “sinus” operation two years previously for breathing problems. She complained that after the surgery her breathing problems were worse as was the appearance of her nose.

Front View: The nasal bones were fractured to move them closer together and correct the “washed out” look of her bridge. The tip was also reshaped to make it more balanced and proportional with the bridge.

Side View: The “scooped-out” appearance of the bridge was corrected with a rib cartilage graft and the tip reshaped and made slightly smaller.

Oblique View: The profile line was smoothed and the tip reshaped giving the nose a more natural look.

Basal View: The nostrils were opened which completely corrected the breathing problems. The tip was also narrowed and made more symmetrical.
