Rhinoplasty is a nose reshaping surgery to improve the appearance of the nose and often to correct breathing problems. Who is the Ideal Candidate for Rhinoplasty?

The best candidates for nose reshaping have realistic expectations about what surgery can accomplish. Drs. Gunter and Cochran carefully screen each patient to ensure that they are physically, emotionally, and financially prepared to undergo this major cosmetic procedure. During an in-person consultation, our rhinoplasty surgeons thoroughly examine each patient, determine if the patient is a good candidate for nasal surgery and create an individualized surgical plan to achieve the desired goals.

Completely fill out and submit the Information Form

Have the six(6) required pre-operative photos taken. These should be headshots (not full-body) and include two(2) side views, two(2) three-quarter views, one(1) forward facing, and one(1) with the head tilted back, showing the bottom of the nose. Please view the examples below as reference.

Example

In order for our doctors to adequately assess your candidacy, the photos must be taken in good lighting against a solid-colored background. There should be no shadows on the face. You can take the photos at home, using any camera with a zoom lens, by fully zooming in on the face. However, ordinary point-and-shoot cameras are not recommended because they distort the face too much for the resulting photos to be helpful. You may also have the pictures taken at any portrait studio.

Gather:

• All completed forms
• All requested photos
• $200 consultation fee (the payment will be applied to the consultation fee if you are a good candidate; if not, it will be returned)
